Yes, my mother commenting on my blog makes me the epitome of cool. Even when we live in the same house and she could say it to me in person, as indeed she already did.

Miracle of miracles, those "spills" got cleaned up without any elbow-grease from louche! The finished product looks and smells superb so she is forgiven. For Christmas she can look forward to a gift voucher for "Kim and Aggie" classes (i.e. cleaning up/washing up etc.) in exchange for some mince pies!

Your trip looks and sounds amazing. I have always wanted to visit Scandinavia. My folks have been there several times. They even went up to the Nord Cap and loved it. Although my dad thought that reindeers were, from a distance, like "funny looking dogs". I must see this for myself. He is funny, my dad. His verdict on Greenland? "A dump! Avoid!"

BTW I also would like to thank you for introducing me to Dennis Severs’ House. My next trip to Londres will include a visit maybe. There is a Georgian House in Edinburgh but I've never been.

You are a cooking genius in my book, I could never attempt such a thing. Those spills don't look half-bad, either. xx

Yum! I love mince pies but never make my own. I don't have the cool hands for pastry. Sounds good though.
